The Republic of Liberia, located in West Africa, is a quaint country of about 43,000 square miles (111,369 square kilometers) and is home to about 4 million people. The people of Liberia are known to be very hospitable and helpful. Our national currency is known as the Liberty Dollar (LD), but the USD is also widely used throughout the country. Though the official language is English, there are over thirty indigenous languages also spoken here. Our coastline is comprised of the Atlantic Ocean, while inland one can find the treasures of various lagoons, river, lakes, mountains, and rainforest. Liberia offers two seasons, the Rainy Season with significant rainfall from May–October and The Dry Season where the climate is tropical and filled with sunny skies for the remainder of the year.
